Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • ½ cucumber, peeled and chopped
  • 1 green apple, cored and sliced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 cup coconut water (or water)
  • Handful of ice (optional)

Instructions
 

Prep the Ingredients

  • Wash the spinach, peel and chop the cucumber, and slice the apple. Grate the ginger finely and squeeze the fresh lemon juice.

Layer in the Blender

  • To ensure a smooth blend, add the liquids to the blender first: coconut water and lemon juice. Follow with the solid ingredients: spinach, cucumber, apple, and ginger. Add a handful of ice on top if using.

Blend Until Silky

  • Blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth with no visible specks of spinach.

Serve

  • Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately for the best flavor and nutrient retention.

Ingredient Substitutions: For a cleaner taste with fewer calories, use plain water instead of coconut water. To boost fiber, add 1 tablespoon of chia or flax seeds.
