Equipment

  • Shaker Bottle
  • Handheld Frother
  • blender

Ingredients

Protein Coffee (Iced)

  • 1 cup cold brew coffee or chilled espresso
  • 1 scoop whey protein isolate powder about 30 grams
  • 4-6 oz 2% milk or non-dairy milk
  • ice as needed
  • sweetener to taste

Protein Coffee (Hot)

  • 1 cup hot brewed coffee or espresso
  • 1 scoop whey protein isolate powder about 30 grams
  • 3-5 oz 2% milk or non-dairy milk
  • sweetener to taste

Instructions

  • For Iced Protein Coffee: Add protein powder and milk to a shaker bottle. Shake well for 15–20 seconds. Add cold brew and shake again. Pour over ice, sweeten to taste, and serve.
  • For Hot Protein Coffee: Stir protein powder with cool milk in a mug until smooth. Slowly add hot coffee while stirring. Froth for foam, sweeten if needed, and serve warm.

Notes

Use whey isolate for best mixability. To make it dairy-free, use soy or almond milk and plant-based protein. Prep concentrate or freezer pods ahead to save time. Avoid dumping protein into hot coffee directly to prevent clumping.
